Threads is an independent vintage clothing store in Peckham, South East London. Conveniently located a short walk from Peckham Rye Station, Threads is a shop selling authentic vintage menswear, womenswear and homewares from the 1940’s through to the 1970’s.

Jemima Norton acquired Threads in 2014 with the foresight of modernising the boutique. Having graduated from Kingston University with a BA in Fashion Design and completed an apprenticeship on Savile Row, Jemima has formed a special appreciation for modern and traditional crafts, showing clearly in the carefully selected and curated products on display.

Threads now boasts its own womenswear collection with four seasons under its belt and a menswear collection set to be introduced next summer. All clothing is made on site and can be altered to fit clients to their exact requirements. This specialised vintage alteration service has now flung open its doors, and become the go-to place for locals to have their vintage treasures (and heirlooms) lovingly repaired and altered. Jemima also has a very special knack in extending the size of these wispy vintage waists, truly ensuring her clothing fit the clients and not the other way round.

The shop also sells homeware and furniture from the smallest 1950s shot glasses up to the large 1970s G- Plan extendable dining table, this has become known as the Teak department. You see the theme developing! All elements are stunningly displayed in Threads’ intimate boutique, making for a treasure trove experience.
